Little Things Favors: Half-Day Closing Schedule
Hi Everyone!
I am happy to announce that we are currently in the process of building our first retail wedding favors and accessories location in Sayreville, NJ. Our Grand Opening is scheduled for Ocotber 2008. More details soon to follow!
However, because of so much construction, we are closing for a half day today because we need to be at the store location.
On Wednesday August 20th, 2008, we will be opened from 10 AM to 1 PM. Our offices will re-open at 10 AM on August 21, 2008.
We are also hiring for full time and part time customer service reps. If you are interested we currently offer competitive salaries, vacation/sick time, medical and pharmacy insurance, and paid gym memberships. If you are interested please view our customer service description: http://www.littlethingsfavors.com/customer-service-rep-positon.html
Have a wonderful day!
xoxo!

An Elegant Tea Party At Home
Looking to throw a bridal tea the day of your wedding? No tea room nearby? Throwing your own bridal tea can be quick and easy. Here’s the perfect make-at-home menu to compliment your special day:

Scones
Get these delicious treats at your local coffee shop or bakery the day before. Warm them up in the microwave prior to serving and place them in a bread basket with a towel to keep them warm. Serve with fresh whipped cream, clotted cream, butter, and your favorite fruit jam.
Sandwiches
Cucumber Tea Sandwiches
1/2 seedless cucumber, peeled and very thinly sliced (about 32 slices)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup coarsely chopped watercress leaves
16 slices best-quality white bread
Salt to taste
1/2 cup alfalfa sprouts
Combine butter and watercress; spread on one side of each slice of bread. Lay cucumber slices onto the buttered side. Sprinkle with salt. Cover each with 1 tablespoon alfalfa sprouts and top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side down.
Carefully cut the crusts from each sandwiches, in half diagonally, and then cut in half again.
Yields 8 whole sandwiches or 16 halves or 32 fourths.
Dessert
At the bakery, pick up a small cookie tray or serve fresh fruit from the grocery store.
Tea
Pick your favorite bag or brew from whole leaves. If it’s a hot day, buy your favorite bottled iced tea and serve up with lemon slices for a special touch.
Extra Treat
Give your guests one of these great tea favors as a way to remember your festive tea party!
