Wedding Superstitions & Traditions
Did you ever wonder why people ring bells at weddings (historically, it doesn’t mean to kiss!), attached empty cands to the getaway car or threw rice at you? Wedding traditions are sometimes strange, and superstitions often make you wonder “why?”
I remember when I got married, I knew of the superstition that whoever fell asleep first on the wedding night would die first. Hubby and I partied the night away on the cruise ship - and I think we passed out from exhaustion together.

The 3 R’s of Going Green - How to Incorporate Them Into Your Wedding Favors
The 3 R’s of going green - reduce, reuse and recycle. It’s easy to go green with your wedding favors - with just a few helpful tips you’ll have some awesome green wedding favor ideas.
Reduce - reduce the impact your wedding favors make on the environment. Whether it is purchasing them “locally” to reduce the carbon impact on the environment or reducing waste by cutting down on packaging, you can make an impact. Forget the wedding favor boxes, packaging, gift wrap and favor tags. Purchase favors which can be displayed on each place setting as table decorations - without wrapping them. Glass coasters, place card holders (not place card frames because them come in boxes), trees and edible items are a good choice.
Reuse - Can your guests reuse the item over and over again? A rule of thumb here is: if you can see yourself using it in your home, chances are your guests will use it in theirs. Purchase items which you yourself would use - such as coasters, or kitchen themed items.
Recycle - purchase items which are made from recycled materials or which can be recycled. Cork coasters, seed packets, woven baskets - can not only be recycled but reused too.
